Colorado Creations Quilting's Story
Meet Jackie Vujcich
Hello and welcome to Colorado Creations Quilting!
Living near the foothills to the Rocky Mountains, Jackie is surrounded by nature in all its glory. Inspiration “blooms” right outside her studio door. She also loves to travel and always keeps a camera in her pocket to capture the awesomeness of the great outdoors in her landscape quilts. She's been quilting for nearly 20 years and began teaching pieced (patchwork) quilting almost 10 years ago. Realizing that this limited her from expressing her creativity, she now immerses herself in pictorial art quilts. From time to time she still produces traditional quilt patterns (you can find them right here) and thoroughly enjoys the process.
Every business starts because of a problem. Jackie started this business because she believes there’s an alternative to frustration! Back to the art quilts…she loves designing quilts, especially landscape quilts, and she has a 20-year stash of landscape fabrics to aid in this endeavor. Unfortunately, when people saw her patterns and wanted to re-create them, they did not have access to her stash!
So, our mission is this:
- Our first goal for CCQ is to make your shopping experience a happy one, with plenty of customer service should a need arise.
- Secondly, to be your one-stop shop for quality products of nature-themed 100% cotton prints and batik fabrics and other products necessary to create your project-including full-sized, easy-to-follow quilt patterns. This will be a constant work in progress for us!
- Finally, we believe in fostering education; so, if you ever have a question regarding a product, technique or anything quilt-related look at our tutorial section (with more tutorials being added as she finds the time in between creating!). If you don't get your answer there, please feel free to contact us and of course a Google search is always helpful.
Jackie creates the patterns, you create the masterpiece! Come for the inspiration, stay for what you love. Head over to our blog to learn more about her journey.
